The Tarot Tool: Using Tarot Cards as a Writing Prompt

all times in Pacific
this lab is on Zoom

In this lab, we’ll explore Tarot cards as a writing tool that leads us into unexpected places. Whether you believe in the omniscience of the Tarot or simply consider it an ancient card game, the beauty, history, and symbolism of the cards can be a powerful avenue into creativity.

Instructor Mae Afriam has studied tarot cards for over twenty years since becoming entranced by them as a teenager. Using her knowledge of tarot history and symbolism, she’ll pull cards and briefly share her interpretation while welcoming you to find your own unique interpretation and thoughts. Then, using the tarot as a writing prompt, we’ll spend a significant amount of class time writing with an opportunity to share our work.

led by Mae Afriam

This lab is free! If you like what you experience, please consider donating. A suggested donation for this workshop is $25.
