4:00 - 5:30 pm: Women in Plays: a conversation
Katie Forgette (Loman playwright), Julie Beckman (Loman director), Rebecca O'Neil (The Shattered Glass Project Founding Artistic Director), and Shana Bestock (ACT Artistic Associate) share their experiences and reflections on what it means to be a woman in plays. We’ll talk about our work, how we get it it done, and what the particular experience of having been socialized as a woman in this culture has to do with how we make theatre together. Then we’ll open the conversation up to our shared experience of the women characters in Mrs. Lohman is Leaving. Light refreshments provided.
