Writing Romance Part V: Happily Ever Afters

all times in Pacific
all labs on Zoom

Writing Romance is a 6-week class that covers the structure, tropes, and craft elements needed to create a successful romance novel. Every genre has its own conventions, hallmarks, and expectations, including romance.

Have you ever read a wonderful romance novel and thought: hmm, I think I'd like to try writing one of those? Join us for this 6-session class designed to help you navigate through the ins and outs of writing romances. We'll spend each week examining a different element through examples from popular romances/rom coms, writing prompts, and sharing time. By the end, we’ll have begun to plot our ways to happily ever after! 💘

  • Part I: Tropes, Conventions, Character Creation

  • Part II: Meet Cutes

  • Part III: Ramping Up the Tension

  • Part IV: The Third Act Breakup?

  • Part V: Happily Ever Afters
