2024 Seattle Playwriting Conference

The 2024 Seattle Playwriting Conference was presented in partnership between SCRiB LAB and Parley. The conference was sponsored by The Dramatists Guild, Theatre Puget Sound, and Seattle Children’s Theatre.

9 am: registration

10 am: Keynote Speech & Welcome Exercise

11 am: Workshop: Practice Your Art

12:15 pm: Panel: New Works Development

  • Artistic leaders of local companies discuss how they center playwrights and their work through readings, workshops, and other development opportunities.

  • Panelists include: Asha Dore (Parley), Jenn Ruzumna & Lisa Every (Seattle Public Theater), Maggie Lee (Rain City Projects), Shana Bestock (ACT), Suzanne Cohen (Mirror Stage)

  • Moderated by Rebecca Tourino Collinsworth (Parley)

2 pm: Workshop: Promote Yourself

3:15 pm: Panel: Producing New Plays
